Christopher Amaral, Photographer
Growing up, my father was in advertising and we moved often. He was always bringing art and photography books home that I would love to collect. I pretty much always new I wanted to do something in the field of advertising and photography. I later attended Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California in 1994, then moved to NY where I got my first exposure to the world of commercial photography. My original plan was to stay for two years, which then turned into twenty! Ten years ago our family had moved to Atlanta, and eventually we decided to follow and call Atlanta our home. I’m excited to be living in Atlanta and being a part of the art and advertising community. I still have a studio in NYC that I travel to when I need to go back and forth for my clients.
Clients and work
Many of my clients and photo assignments have been for agencies, magazines, and business-‐to-‐business, including: Canon, Facebook, Verizon, IBM, Net Jets, and Scripps Network.
Have camera, will travel.
Recently I had returned from a people and places photo journey for Facebook that had taken me to Asia, the Middle East, South America and Europe. Travel has always been a passion for myself and for work.
